keene nh: Luxury Country Home in the City of Keene NH - 08/01/10 08:45 AM
Luxury Country Home in the City of Keene, NH. Don't try to dazzle me with lots of shiny trinkets and endless examples of conspicuous consumption. Seduce me with thoughtful design and approachable, comfortable elegance. Entice me with a lush and rolling countryside setting. I'm so smitten by our newest listing, I'm afraid my own house is going to start getting suspicious.
If you've been searching for a year-round NH getaway, look no further! Overlooking the pastures that are home to Stonewall Farm's own dairy cows, and surrounded by the hills of the Monadnock Region of NH, this luxury property blends (11 comments)
keene nh: What Have You Done For Me Lately? - 03/20/10 08:02 AM
What have you done for me lately? is hardly the mantra of a professional who is putting their clients' interests first. Is it me? I read a blog post this morning in which the author asks whether or not she should stop referring her clients to a mortgage professional who, by her own account, does a top-notch job for her clients. He's efficient, thorough, and gets the job done. So...what's the problem? Glad you asked. The problem is that "he doesn't reciprocate." The author has sent him lots of business, and he hasn't returned the favor. In fact, she even informed him that he'd better (13 comments)
keene nh: Dogs That Detect Bed Bugs...Is There Anything Our Four-Legged Friends Can't Do? - 03/11/10 03:47 PM
Most of us are familiar with this common bedtime rhyme: Good night...sleep tight! Don't let the bed bugs bite! Apparently, a bed bug infestation can happen anywhere...in luxury hotels, apartment buildings, college dorms or homes. Housekeeping, or lack of it, has little to do with a bed bug's chosen place of residence. They're not picky, as long as there are humans or other warm-blooded animals to provide them with their sustenance. These uninvited guests bite their host, feed on their blood, and leave their hapless victim itchy as all get-out. According to a recent article in The New York Times, this resurgence (or perhaps it's just (5 comments)

keene nh: *I'm Just A Bill* (or why the extension of the $8,000 First-time Homebuyers Credit is not yet a DONE DEAL) ~UPDATED~ - 11/05/09 08:39 AM
Okay, so I'm dating myself a bit here, but I always loved ABC's Schoolhouse Rock. Kris Wales posted a terrific post about the need for us to be responsible and, more importantly, informed before posting information that may be inaccurate, incomplete or misleading to our readers. Active Rain has been awash with posts regarding the $8,000 tax credit. As of this morning, it is my understanding that the extension of the $8,000 first-time buyer's credit is not yet LAW. Again...the extension of this tax credit is NOT A LAW....It's just a BILL. Because of all the apparent confusion, I thought a little (13 comments)
