Carlton Together Cares is a "locally staffed non-profit organization dedicated to providing outstanding youth and community services to the greater Carlton and Yamhill areas."
The Flavors of Carlton is their annual fundraising event and it is coming up on Saturday, March 7th from 5-9pm at Ken Wright Cellars.  Admission is $50 per person.

Here is the invitation for the event as a pdf with directions and details.  I am one of the artists to have donated to the event; my piece, called "Fly South," will be available in the silent auction.

art: The Art of Trees - 12/12/08 11:10 PM
This is a tree in a field near my home, it's located in Bellevue on Highway 18 between McMinnville and Sheridan.  The field is kiddy corner from the Lawrence Gallery, The Fresh Palate Cafe and the Bellevue Market and Oregon Wine Tasting Room.  A newcomer to the corner is Wine Country Glassworks, which I plan to visit soon.
This tree is very cool- it's actually two trees that grew side by side and work together to make one tree.  I found the image to be so compelling, I turned it into a piece of art.  I call it The Marriage Tree.  My medium … (4 comments)

art: Enjoy Thanksgiving in Oregon's Wine Country! - 11/26/08 12:28 AM
Every year over Thanksgiving weekend Oregon'w wine country open their doors to visitors from far and wide to enjoy their wines and grounds.  Find a list of all the wineries at Willamette Valley Wineries Association along with their hours and pertinent information.  This year the hours are 11-5 pm Friday, Saturday and Sunday November 28,29, and 30th, but not all wneries are open all hours and days.
I will be showing my artwork at Carlton Wine Maker's Studio from 11-5pm on Friday and Saturday.  This is the first year they've had an artist in house, and I am honored to be part of the … (8 comments)
