Who Does Not Know Someone Whose Life Has Been Touched by Cancer? - 09/28/10 07:30 AM

The photo on the left is of my robust life-loving mother, Phyllis Gauger. She is with 3 of my daughters, who affectionately called her "Nana" and was taken Dec. '07. There was nothing she loved more on earth than her family.  Nana was 73 years old and had valiantly fought back through 4 bouts with cancer since '96. Breast and Skin in '96, Breast again in '01 and Lung in '02.
The photo on the right is of Nana with me, just 3 months later, with the ultimate vengeance having spread to her bones in '08. This was to be her final go round with the disease … (2 comments)
