The 5th Annual March Music Series is in progress on St Croix and the other US Virgin Islands. "This year's theme - The Sound of Music - celebrates the diverse musical heritage of the Virgin Islands, the Caribbean region and the Americas," said Myron Jackson, executive director of the V.I. Cultural Heritage Institute.The concerts draw on many genres and musical forms, including African drumming, quelbe, cariso, jazz, Latin, calypso, soca, zouk, reggae, gospel, spirituals, chanting, steel orchestra, marching and symphonic bands.
