I lived in Atlanta for nearly 20 years and loved it. I was frequently downtown and enjoyed the "beat" of the city. Now I live in Christiansted, on the island of St. Croix, in the US Virgin islands. As I was walking to my downtown office the other day, it struck me how different the experiences are. Obviously, they are very different...just due to the size...but here are a few other SIGNIFICANT differences!!
1. Most people in downtown Atlanta have "real" clothes and shoes on; most people in downtown C-sted have on swimwear, cover-ups, shorts and T-shirts, or sundresses and flip flops.
