buyers: Environmental Concerns - 09/18/08 08:59 AM

Helping guide Buyers research homes in Chester County they are interested in purchasing is part of my job as a Real Estate agent in Chester County.

The website addresses concerns and/or possibilities of environmental and hazardous conditions including Asbestos, Flood Maps, Hazardous Waste, Lead, Mercury, Mold, Radon, Superfund Sites, and more.
As a part of your Agreement of Sale to purchase a home in Chester County, you can elect contingencies that allow you to hire a professional to inspect many different items and conditions … (0 comments)

buyers: Slitting Mill Rd (19342), Glen Mills, PA - 07/06/08 01:47 PM
As a part of my marketing plan for Sellers that list their homes for sale with The Kim Wood Team, I use the Real Estate Shows Flyer & Show. This is a flyer I made with Real Estate Shows for a property I have listed in Glen Mills. It is located upon a serene 2.78 acres which provides peace & privacy. I also started a blog for the property at www.SlittingMill.Info where you will find more pictures and information. There are also many links there to help with the area, Rose-Tree Media School District, and Edgmont and Thornbury Townships. (The property … (4 comments)

Get ready! A big celebration is happening in Downingtown, Chester County, PA on July 4th!  I sent our family's registration forms in for the 5K Walk. Are you participating?

Canoe Races, Duck … (2 comments)

buyers: Street Names - 03/06/08 10:27 PM
What's in a Name?  I sure wouldn't want the job of sitting around a table and choosing the Names to call the streets in a development!  It was stressful enough coming up with the names of my three children!
A home on Mount Misery, my favorite, unusual street was recently sold in my office. When I saw the name, I said to the listing agent, "Oh boy. You might have that one a while"
Do people pay attention when looking at homes what the name of the street is?  I know I had a client that was very particular about the house number … (6 comments)

buyers: Voicemail Greeting - 07/28/07 04:35 PM
What Does your Voicemail Say?
I posted this on the RE/MAX Message Boards and I thought the responses were great, I know there will be lots of valuable insight from the AR members!
I struggled with what I wanted on my outgoing message:
Should it be Short and Sweet?Should it be Long and Detailed?Should it change to my Dailly Schedule?Should it give website and email?Should it direct to other phone numbers?Should it instruct to ring back to front desk?Right now it is something like.....   (yeah, too long)
Hi you've reached Kim Wood and the Kim Wood Team at RE/MAX Main Line. To bypass this message at anytime … (33 comments)

buyers: Too Emotional? - 07/10/07 09:24 PM
TOO EMOTIONAL ??
Sometimes this business is very hard on the heart. Most "personal contact" relationships are though, I suppose.  I know many of us find ourselves wearing many different hats as REALTORS(R).  It can be an asset, or a hindrance when you are emotionally involved.
Whether it be the Seller that really needs to sell, or the Buyer who is looking for their castle that they can't afford; it can be burdensome when you put your clients feelings into your life.  But, wait, isn't that a good thing?  The testimonials that I've received  from clients talk about how they like that I care … (11 comments)
