Wow, 2019 went by quickly. At Bellingham Technical College we are still going strong with our professional level home inspector training courses. The next class will be in 2020. Last year snow bogged us down in early February, so we are running the four week course a little later this year -- beginning on February 24, 2020. And it ends, both Fundamentals and Field Training, on March 20. BTC is the only WA state college run home inspection training course. Our faculty consists of capable and dedicated instructors. BTC offers not only a "fundamentals" of home inspection class, also, we make available 40 hours of field training. Bellingham Technical College's next home inspector training course (it begins May 7, 2018 and runs through June 1, 2018) reached full enrollment immediately after registration opened late last week. And, at this point, we have a waiting list. The popularity of the course has become a trend over the past year. A contributing factor is our enrollment cap at 12 students -- so we can better provide individual attention. Bellingham Technical College's next home inspector training course that begins on October 9, 2017 is full. I have never seen one of our classes fill-up so quickly. Once registration began, we were at full capacity in 45 days. Often there is a slot or two open right up until the first day of class. The class will include 135 clock hours in the fundamentals of home inspection and 40 hours of supervised field training. State law requires inspection students to obtain at least 120 hours of training, and BTC is the only state college level course that offers substantially more credits than minimum -- a full 15 clock hours above the baseline 120 hours. Bellingham Technical College's home inspector training faculty is pleased to announce that our Fundamentals of Home Inspection Course has recently been approved by Washington State as a 135 classroom hour course. State law requires inspection students to obtain at least 120 hours of training, and BTC is the only state college level course that offers substantially more credits than the bare minimum. We provide a full 15 clock hours above the baseline 120 hours. In addition to acquiring the training and certification necessary for licensing, our students earn state college credits as well!

Bellingham Technical College has announced that the next home inspector pre-licensing course will begin on February 3, 2014. The 120-hour portion of the class will run until February 23. And the 40 hours of field training will take place between February 25 and March 1, 2014. All classes are held in Bellingham on the BTC campus. When home inspector licensing began in the state, several years ago now, Bellingham Technical College was the first accredited school in Washington. Bellingham Technical College was the first state-accredited home inspector training course back when home inspector licensing took effect a few years ago. The "Fundamentals of Home Inspection" three week course will begin on the campus of Bellingham Technical College on September 3, 2013. The one week field training course will commence on September 23, 2013. This course attracts students from around the state and from Oregon and Idaho as well. Here in Bellingham, at the time I am posting this, we are just about a month away from the next course in residential home inspections and field training. Bellingham Technical College is one of only a few approved providers of home inspection training in the State of Washington. The state law requires anyone who wishes to enter the field of home inspection to complete a 120 hour course in the fundamentals of home inspection.
