Lead Generation 36:12:3...Insights and Successes - 01/24/08 02:19 AM
Keller Williams Realty Olympia rolled out Lead Generation 36:12:3 on Tuesday January 22, 2008. Today was Power Session One.
I will attempt to drive the attendees of 36:12:3 here to share AHA's, new-found insights, and successes that they take away from class, and probably more importantly, what they bring back to class after applying what they have learned.
It is my hope that this journey of discovery and application, for these agents, will be chronicled here. It is my intention also that, for some, blogging their AHA's, new-found insights and successes will improve the retention and application.

Change Your Mind = Change Your Business = Change Your Income = Change Your Life - 01/22/08 11:07 PM
EVERYTHING in your life is a function of the choices that you have made. Nothing more. Nothing less. You and no one else is accountable for the shape of your life AND YOUR BUSINESS.The most costly mistake made by EVERY real estate agent is this...YOU TELL YOURSELF THE WRONG STORIES.
TELL YOURSELF THE RIGHT STORIES, in other words, CHANGE YOUR MIND and you will change your business.
Here is my question for you...WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO, TOMORROW, THAT WILL EMPOWER YOU TO CHANGE YOUR MIND RIGHT?
Any ideas?

FOUR Ways to Earn MORE Money...in this market ;-) - 01/22/08 12:17 AM
There are FOUR ways to earn more money in any real estate market. One works poorly, one almost never works, one IS work and most people never understand the last one.
WORK Harder (works poorly)Create a Widget (almost never works)BE or become MORE (this is work)Get LEVERAGE (getting more from less)Working harder, working more, doing more of the same stuff is the weakest path to greater earnings. Your limited energy and the finite number of hours in a day will remain very powerful enemies.
Creating the new widget is the most seductive and costly myth is real estate! Don't waste your time attempting to … (2 comments)

IF YOU DON'T KNOW YOUR NUMBERS, YOU SHOULDN'T BE SELLING HOMES!
What are the important numbers that you need to know in order to speak intelligently about your market? What numbers should you know? What is the story that the numbers are telling you, your sellers and your buyers? What is happening now and what is going to happen in the near future?
This document answers the following questions: How many homes are currently on the market? How many of them are new construction and how many are resale homes? What percentage of the active inventory is new construction? What percentage of the … (0 comments)

The tool YOU are missing...a concept, a diagram and some good talking points - 01/18/08 01:18 AM
Brian Hickox introduced Gary Keller and Dave Jenks to an idea, a framework for understanding home selling in todays market. I don't think they needed it. I am certain that EVERY agent that I know DOES. Gary and Dave, introduced The Tale of Two Markets at Mega Camp 2007 in Austin. The accuracy, beauty, simplicity and power of this tool is crazy! Here goes...
First, have you said any of the following (to yourself or your peers)? "I priced the home right...it's just not selling." "My sellers aren't realistic." "My sellers won't listen to me." "I showed them all the comps." Would it make a … (2 comments)

As a real estate professional, are you IN the market or OUT of the market? - 01/13/08 02:49 PM
I attended Keller Williams Realty Mega Camp training event back in May and while there I was exposed to the concept of The Tale of Two Markets. The Tale of Two Markets, actually it's a Tale of Three Markets, shows us and the consumer in an easy to understand handful of graphs that THEIR home is either IN the market, OUT of the market, or CHASING the market. I will share that tool and how to use it effectively in another post.
After working with that concept and teaching agents to use it effectively, I had a moment of clarity one day. … (3 comments)
