I recently sold a condo in this historical building down on the riverfront in Wilmington NC. It was a renovated old warehouse that would hold off loaded goods from ships that came to Wilmington in the 1900's. It was renovated and updated into townhouses in the 80's by a local developer. It has the most spectacular waterview of the Cape Fear River. You have great views of the Battleship North Carolina and of the river boats that go up and down the Cape Fear. Lots to do in Wilmington, NC this weekend. Of course you can always take a trolley ride but you must attend the 32nd annual RIVERFEST!!
Lots of things to see including bands, 100+ vendors, food, Invasion of the Pirates Flotilla, kids zone, and fireworks.

Rad Band Festival this weekend - not stop bands at downtown bars - with an estimated 100 bands to participate. THe events Starts Friday afternoon with the banks taking over 4 downtown locales including both floors of the Soapbox. There will be bands from all over participating. This weekend in Wilmington NC is the perennial favorite - The Secret Garden Tour. This is a tour of private home gardens some that have never been viewed by the public. Tickets are available at Latimer House on 3rd Street. There is one garden on the tour that has 9 fountains. You can checkout the homes on the tour at Latimerhouse.org. The tour is today and tomorrow. This weekend the big Wilmington Battleship Fireworks will take on Saturday over the Cape Fear River. It is the most glorious 4th celebration with fireworks launched from the battleship and all the folks lined up along the river walk to catch the excitement. There are street vendors with food and drinks all along the streets.
Carolina Beach will have its boardwalk celebration and fireworks Friday July 3. The amusement park will have its rides running so it will be fun for kids and older kids too.

This weekend at Carolina Beach on Sunday the Tales of Desperaux will be shown by the Lake. The movie starts at 8 pm.
On Saturday Blue Moon Gift shops on Racine Drive will have a fundraiser for the Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Hospital from 2pm to 5 pm. All proceeds from a raffle will be given to the hospital which had its banner year with 54 turtles in rehabilitation.

The RIDES are finally here in Carolina Beach NC and will open today at 4 pm with a ribbon cutting. There will be fireworks also tonite and free movies Sunday night at the Lake.
The ORANGE street festival is tomorrow on Orange Street with all kinds of vendors - arts and crafts for sale along the street.
There is another sailing ship docked in Downtown Wilmington for people to explore.
