Wilmington Neighborhoods: Whisper Creek Whisper Creek currently is one of Wilmington's most desired family neighborhoods. It is leafy, low key, with spacious large tree lined yards. There are a lot of kids in the neighborhood as the areas selected schools - Holly Tree, Roland Grise and Hoggard High school enjoy good school ratings. wilmington real estate: Wilmington NC - STATUS OF REAL ESTATE MARKET - JULY 2010 - 08/23/10 03:32 PM
Strong buyers market continues...Due to the First Time Home Buyer increase in sales, a lot of these sales were pushed up and people that might have been planning to buy in July moved up their purchase to coincide with the tax credit. In the month of July we saw a decrease of 125 homes in our listing inventory, we have 5,604 homes on the market as of August 1st. This continues to put us in a strong buyer's market with a listing inventory of over a 16.0 month supply. With the low sales in July this affects our month

wilmington real estate: Wrightsville Beach NC Condo - Walk to Beach, Restaurants and Boating - 03/08/09 03:10 PM
My new listing is in the heart of Wrightsville Beach on Harbour Island. Priced at $ 495,000 for this 3 Br, 2 Bath condo the value is definitely here. You can walk to all area attractions including the beach, restaurants, boating, fishing, nightlife, shopping at Redix, it is all close. Buy for a 2nd home or investment property. Rentals are almost impossible to find now on the island so it would be a worthwhile rental property. There is covered off street parking and guest parking also. It is on a quiet street just one street off the main drag. Enjoy

wilmington real estate: Loan limits Increased For New Hanover County, NC - 02/25/09 07:20 PM
It was recently announced by the Federal Housing Authority that there are new mortgage limits. FHA has just sent out the attached information that increases the loan limits to the levels that were established in 2008 ( $303,750.00 New Hanover, Brunswick, Pender). These limits will be in effect until December 31, 2009. GREAT NEWS ! That is great news for buyers. It will be easier for homebuyers ( and with lower rates too) to obtain loans up to these limits. Hopefully that will get some buyers to commit to new purchases. Come on down to the beaches - we have some great

wilmington real estate: Camp Lejeune, Jacksonville, NC Population Set to Explode in Next 4- 6 years - 11/11/08 08:55 PM
Did you know that Jacksonville NC is set to explode in population? Camp Lejeune is expected to grow by 10000 people within the next 4 years. If you include family members the town could grow by as much as 40000 people in the next 4-6 years. Many of this increase in population is due to the US Marines moving troops from closed bases all over the country. This does not even take into account the numbers of troops returning from Iraq and Afghanistan according to media reports. Pender county is already experiencing this growth. It is finding increased traffic and

wilmington real estate: WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH - WORKING ON THE BEACHES - 09/29/08 07:55 PM
While down at the Wrightsville Beach today i noticed a lot of work going on. Nor'easter type rain events are brutal on our east facing beaches. Wrightsville Beach was one of those beaches that lost the lower part of its sand banks in the storm. This creates cliffs called escarpments. These are around 3- 4 foot embankments on the side of the beach. It is hard, therefore, for anyone - handicapped or otherwise to get down off these hills to get to the beach. The Wrightsville Beach grounds crew were bulldozing these huge mounds down so people can easily access the beaches. Storms affect
