THis is a very expensive proposition for the government and state but totally worth it as our tourists certainly expect the gorgeous white sand of Wrightsville to be there when they want to sun in it, play in it and relax on it. Volume: 2009 $69,527,000 2010 $104,654,218 a 51% increase.

There are currently 504 single family homes for sale and this represents a 12 unit increase over February 2010 and 9.6% of our total WRAR inventory. The average list price is $428,746 a decrease of about $2,970 from January. It is the most glorious 4th celebration with fireworks launched from the battleship and all the folks lined up along the river walk to catch the excitement. Carolina Beach will have its boardwalk celebration and fireworks Friday July 3. The amusement park will have its rides running so it will be fun for kids and older kids too.

While down at the Wrightsville Beach today i noticed a lot of work going on. Nor'easter type rain events are brutal on our east facing beaches. Wrightsville Beach was one of those beaches that lost the lower part of its sand banks in the storm. This creates cliffs called escarpments. These are around 3- 4 foot embankments on the side of the beach. It is hard, therefore, for anyone - handicapped or otherwise to get down off these hills to get to the beach.
