Lake Arrowhead December Winter Storm 2010. Well it has been a bumpy ride folks. We have had severe rain for the last 7 days and as I sit here and type it is starting to finally snow. This is a good thing! If this rain had all been snow we would have been under 20 feet of snow. Instead, our lake is over full and the water is flowing as fast as it can over the spillway. Lake Arrowhead, CA is where I call home. I was raised in California, but in the warmth of the beach and desert. I moved to this beautiful mountain 13 years ago. I had never lived in a four season area or experienced snow. How could that have been? I lived only an hour or so away for most of my life. Driving up Highway 18 for 20 minutes could change your world.
