USDA Rural Development home loans were designed to help improve the economy and quality of life throughout rural America. The program continues to remain a wonderful option for qualifying homebuyers, with no down payment required. This is the last of the no money down loans unless you are a veteran.

FHA Changes April 18th - 04/17/11 10:46 AM
Monday is the effective day for the increase in the Annual Mortgage Insurance Premiums, and the automatic case number cancellation.

The Annual Mortgage Insurance Premium is being increased by 25 basis point. The increase is effective for case numbers assigned on or after April 18th. The case numbers will only be cancelled when there has been no activity for 6 months since the last action. Please read the mortgagee letter again and keep handy for reference. There are no changes to the Upfront Mortgage Insurance Premium; it remains at 1%.

FHA monthly premiums - 04/03/11 09:51 AM
FHA monthly premiums will be raised by .25 across the board. A 30 year loan with the minimum down payment of 3.5% will have the same UFMIP of 1%, but the monthly MI factor will be 1.15 instead of the .90. These changes affect loans with case numbers assigned on or after April 18, 2011.
