Wow! Its so hard to believe that summer is over its seems like yesterday I was sitting in my office with the window open and the wonderful smells of summer were just outside. However, Fall in Sussex County brings many fun things to do.

Although this was taken a few years ago my family & I (including my husband) who unfortunately is not in this picture wish you all a Wonderful Holiday season and prosperous New Year! This picture was actually taken just before we saw the Festival of Lights in Ocean City at North Side Park a Wonderful display of lights for all. If you have a chance to visit Ocean City before January 5th I believe its well worth the wait.

The sleepy little town of Milton is so cute and located only 7 miles in a direct line to the Delaware Bay. The area was first settled in pre historic time by Leni Lenape and Nanticoke Indians. Beginning in 1675, English planters began settling in the area, following earlier Dutch settlement in Lewes. The beginnings of the Town itself reached back to the early 18th century lumbering, mill, shipping and shipbuilding activities at the head of the Broadkill, or Broadkiln, River.
