     One of my favorite times in a real estate transaction, as Closing Day draws nearer and nearer, is the preparation for window treatments.  In most cases a speedy temporary fix is mini blinds.  The future home owners excitement is evident as they go from room to room measuring windows and wall space. 
   When I get the call to view a home under contract from one of my clients, I go willingly and freely.  Whether it is the call to measure windows or show it to grandma from out of town I show it at their convenience.  To do anything else … (8 comments)

 Columbus Ga, Fort Benning, area;  OK, it has not come up in
discussion for awhile, but Columbus Ga is probably home to Coca
Cola.  The reason for making this claim is the fact that Dr. Pemberton
lived just north of Columbus back in 1869.  For those Atlanta residents who insist the soft drink home is
Atlanta,   yes you are right,
perhaps more correct than the Columbus claim that I made.

I'm sure that there are folks in Columbus that will forever claim this is home to Coke.  As there are folks

military: Columbus Ga, Fort Benning, "National Infantry Museum to Honor Vietnam Veteran" - 09/13/09 01:15 PM
Retired Colonel Rick Rescorla, served in Vietnam in 1965 and died during the terrorist attack on 9/11. Rescorla will be honored at Fort Benning, with the unveiling of a bronze statue, at 11am, Thursday, September 17th, at the National Infantry Museum and Soldier Center._______________________________________________________________

_______________________________________________________________Rick Rescorla, also served as Vice President of Corporate Security for the firm of Morgan Stanley. On 9/11, he witnessed the burning of Tower 1 at the World Trade Center from his office on the 66th floor of Tower 2.
