Hello All:

In the past two weeks I have spoken to two reporters regarding the home equity reductions that are happening with several lenders. One reporter was with the LA Times, and the other with Bloomberg News. It's quite interesting to to see what was printed vs. what was actually said. Media is funny that way and they will twist words and conversations in order to best serve "the story." What a story it is.

You mean Americans are over-extended and upside down on their homes?? Really? We didn't know that. Gee, this past year I have been going along thinking that our economy is strong, and the real estate market is thriving for everyone. Yeah right!! Well, the truth is, real estate still is thriving for some, but not everyone. The media has this incredible talent for getting everyone in such a tizzy with regard to financial matters. The sky is not falling, and it is not the end of the world!

People need to make sure that they have a trusted advisor when it comes to real estate and financial matters. Don't let the media dictate what you should do in your specific situation. You know what is right for you and your family. Make sure to do your homework and find out what your options are if you are in a predicament.

I have seen blog after blog of these "so called" financial wizards that always seem to have the best advice for people on what to do with their money. They don't know you or your situation. How can someone advise you on a plan of action when they know nothing about you or your financial matters. What a joke!

Cheers,
