What is Transitional Housing? - 05/03/11 05:40 PM

We all know about buying or renting a home. We also have seen mention of shelters where people that are homeless for various reasons stay a few days or so, but what about transitional housing? I never heard of this until recently. So, what is transitional housing?

When I first heard this term I didn't really know what it meant. However a search showed me that it is a type of housing for homeless people that gives some stability as they transition to a more permanent living situation.
