Highlights include an update on the construction of Cinnamon Shore South which is now underway. This $1.3B community represents a Texas-sized expansion of the highly successful development that pioneered new urbanism on Mustang Island. I just posted on the Mustang Island Real Estate Blog the recent announcement of a $1.3 Billion expansion of Cinnamon Shore on Mustang Island, Texas. Cinnamon Shore broke ground in 2007 on 63 gulf front acres in Port Aransas. The coming phases will take 15 to 20 years to complete.
Cinnamon Shore, Sunflower Beach Resort & Residences as well as Palmilla Beach Resort & Golf are master-planned new urbanism communities which feature high-level home designs and a wide array of upscale amenities. These popular Mustang Island communites have been referred to as The New Texas Coast.

PORT ARANSAS, Texas - The Port Aransas South Jetty featured a great story on the new Southern Living Idea House at Cinnamon Shore. The doors opened on Saturday, June 6th. Mary Judson (Editor and Co-Publisher) reports that 282 people toured the home in the first two days.
I visited the home last week and it is a masterpiece. Port A visitors will clearly want to add this to their "to-do list" this Summer Season.

PORT ARANSAS, Texas - There is an interesting article in the Austin American Statesman that provides an overview of the Texas Gulf Coast real estate markets from Galveston to Port Aransas and on to South Padre Island (SPI).
The impacts of Hurricanes Ike in the Galveston area and Dolly in SPI were significant. Yet, the market recovery has begun. As noted in the article, the Port Aransas/Mustang Island area was not significantly impacted by the 2008 storms.

PORT ARANSAS, Texas - Despite a slowdown in the U.S. economy, 2008 sales in Cinnamon Shore were very impressive. Sales have been brisk in recent months at Cinnamon Shore. This is a vibrant new community located on Mustang Island and in the Port Aransas City Limits. Cinnamon Shore offers numerous amenities that are new to the area. Customers are responding as there were eight closed sales in April alone. Phase II of the development is now underway. Cinnamon Shore is located very close to the new Arnold Palmer Golf Course which is nearing completion.
