A few nights ago I was at a Wine, Women and Wealth meeting. The topic was mortgages and, thanks to my friend and colleague Erin Zasada (Financial Advisor at Wachovia/Wells Fargo) I had center stage.
Normally I would be all over the topic and ready and willing to give pointers and help in any way I can, but with the current economic climate, people are filled with worry and doubt.

Money Clubs:It's not just about hiding your money under your mattress anymore!
Gone are the days of letting the husband earn the family finances and then delegate them out - without the little woman knowing who is owed what and when. Thanks to fair lending laws, gone are the days when you have to get your husband's permission to buy a car (which my mom did - she still tells that story with scorn in her voice).
