Southern Illinois Sunset - 12/15/08 09:06 PM
I caught this pretty winter sky a few days ago.  I had just finished up a sad day of visiting the cemetery to put out a Christmas wreath for my Grandfather.  Feeling pretty down and out, I went outside for some fresh air... and saw this beautiful sunset.  It made me remember to stop and think about the things I do have - like my husband, my family and a budding real estate career - instead of focusing on the things I do not have.

The New York Times Says Now's The Time to Buy - 12/11/08 10:01 PM

"Five or 10 years from now, when the financial crisis has ended and housing prices are up smartly once more, we will look in the rearview mirror and realize that we missed a golden age for first-time home buyers."
That's the word from The New York Times today.  In a piece by Ron Lieber titled, "It May Be Time to Think About Buying a House," the writer cautions that buyers may "kick themselves" for not getting in on the market now when prices seem to be at or near the bottom. (Read the full story here.)
