Let's Ruffle Some Feathers - Flat Fee MLS Services - 08/27/09 02:40 PM
This topic might set off a long string of comments voicing various opinions. An agent recently showed one of my listings, and when I called for feedback she told me it was between my listing and one listed by a flat fee broker. She was annoyed that she had a hard time getting a showing appointment or any other information about the house because she had to go through the seller instead of an agent. I've heard of flat fee companies before, but never really gave them much thought. We don't have any here locally, and the one she was referring (2 comments)
Southern Illinois Farm For Sale - The Chance Of A Lifetime - 08/26/09 07:09 PM
It's not everyday an opportunity like this presents itself. Here in Madison County, farms are usually passed down from generation to generation and they rarely come available for public sale - that's why this is such a rare event. With 176 +/- acres, this farm offers flexible options for the new owner. Either work the land yourself or tap into the income potential of leasing the land. Currently the 140 tillable acres are leased for a monthly rate. The 30 acre fenced pasture is also rented month-to-month and is suitable for cattle. Other features of this property include: 2,100 sq ft (0 comments)
Pantera's Pizza Edwardsville - The Love of My Life - 08/26/09 05:15 PM
I love Pantera's Pizza more than my husband. Period. End of story. Okay, so maybe this post is going to be full of me over exaggerating my love for the best pizza in Madison County. But can you blame me? I grew up on the stuff. My sister worked at the long forgotten (and now closed) Pantera's restaurant in East Alton, Illinois while putting herself through SIUE. I loved when she worked nights because all the yumminess from the buffet or people that phoned in fake orders would be coming home. Yes, I'm old - in my day there was no caller id, (0 comments)

This post was created by Erik Hitzelberger who is a Realtor in Louisville, KY. He was kind enough to allow other agents to use this post to help educate sellers. Even though all markets are different, this particular issue is alive and well here in Madison County, Illinois as well. Not every agent takes this much time to properly price your home. New AR Signature Feature - How To Create A Social Networking Banner - 08/18/09 08:31 PM
I'm so totally psyched that AR implemented the new signature feature today. If you're not familiar with it yet, I strongly encourage you to take a look at Jeremy's post.
