President Obama orders Chevy and Chrysler OUT of NASCAR - 03/31/09 10:06 PM
The White House announced today that in order for Chevrolet and Chrysler to receive any more federal bailout monies they would have to quit participating in NASCAR races at the end of the current racing season.
"With their racing budgets deemed “unnecessary expenditures,” GM and Chrysler are ordered to cease racing operations at the end of the season."
The forced withdrawal is expected to save a minimum of 250 million dollars in expenditures.

Comparing February average sales prices - 03/20/09 02:30 PM
The chart below represent the February average sales price of 3 bedroom homes in the greater Knoxville, Tennessee area for the past 10 years.

As you can see average sales prices started accelerating in 2003 building to a peak in 2007. In February of 2007 that represented a total of 645 3 beroom homes sold and closed.
In February 2009 we had a total of 342 3 bedroom homes sold, or 46.9% fewer than 2007.

Credit Suisse monthly survey of real estate agents - 03/05/09 09:00 PM
Credit Suisse is "a world-leading financial services company, advising clients in all aspects of finance, around the world, around the clock."
They also have been conducting their own monthly surveys of real estate agents in the US because they believe that "agents will provide an accurate assessment of housing market trandes in both the new and existing home markets."

Have you ever looked wishfully at other blogs with those great graphics like a photo by photo version of how to do something or similiar graphics from websites.
Those are called "screen captures" and just as the name says, they're an actual capture or graphic of the computer screen.

There's a very simple, very easy, and FREE way to do that yourself using tools already present on most computers. This is the how to do it version for Windows XP.
Most keyboards have a button that says "Print Screen" which actually does just that.

Defeat anti caller ID and find out who's calling you. - 03/04/09 03:24 PM
Ever go to answer your cell phone and the screen says "ID BLOCKED", "RESTRICTED", "UNAVAILABLE", or any variation of those terms?
I get them every now and them and frankly they're a source of minor annoyance. If you don't want me to see your number I'm not sure I want to talk with you anyway.
Now there's a technology solutution to that problem called TrapCall.com
