I was recently interviewed for a real estate website and asked to give some home selling advice in 90 seconds of less.

Easy method to upload video to most anywhere. - 07/21/09 11:35 AM
My favorite virtual tour provider, VisualTour.com has a new feature that lets you create a YouTube video from your virtual tour and then uploads it to YouTube.

While I was putting some extra photos on a listing today I had a thought. I wondered if it would be possible to download the Visual Tour video from YourTube as an MPEG file and then upload that same file to Realtor.com and put a video on your listing along with the virtual tour and still photos.

NAR survey of members regarding new HVCC and impact on sales - 07/19/09 06:10 PM
The National Association of Realtors (NAR) recently put out a survey to members asking what impact, if any, the new Home Valuation Code of Conduct (HVCC) has has on the real estate business.
From the preliminary data received it appears that the HVCC is having a negative impact on real estate sales across the country.
Realtor and appraisers members of NAR are reporting that:
75% of Realtors representing buyers or sellers said that the time to obtain a completed appraisal increased after May 1st (when HVCC took effect). 69% reported an increase of over 8 days. Lost sales were reported by … (2 comments)
