nar: What being a REALTOR® is....and what it is not. - 01/28/07 11:38 AM
In order to call yourself a REALTOR® you must be a current member of the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR). NAR does not issue real estate licenses so you cannot ever be a "licensed REALTOR®" because there is no such thing. States issue real estate licenses, not NAR. Being an NAR member entitles

The same coul apply to membership in our REALTOR® organization AND participating in those

nar: Do you use the "R" word correctly??? - 10/11/06 08:55 AM
No, not that "R" word; I mean the sacred "R" word: REALTOR® in all its glory. NAR is pretty picky about how its members display the Realtor word and have even wrote a "Membership Marks Manual" that tells you in great detail both how you can and cannot use the word

The current issue of "Where to Retire" magaine lists “8 low cost towns with great home buys”. Not surprisingly my city of Knoxville, Tennessee is one of them; in fact one of the few things below average around here are home prices. The National Association of Realtors lists $143,000 as the median price

What do you NOT do that sellers typically expect? There are 2 things I almost never do that many of us perceive sellers expect in order to get their home sold. Is to run lots of ads in your local newspaper.Host a public open house at least once during the listing period; some do more.I do
