Most people know immediately what your are talking about when you say the word - Kanaloa - its like those 1 name wonders, Madonna, Jewell, Prince,..... So I am not going to even go into describing what a Jewell this Ocean Front, Golf Course front, Condo/Hotel, with Dining, Tennis Courts, Pool and Jacuzzi is ! Either you know about or you don't!  But a little secret I am going to let you in on is that Aloha Kona Realty Inc. has been on 24 ends of the last 28 Sales in there (all for the last 3 years )! 2007 Ford Ironman and its effects on Kailua Kona Real Estate - 10/15/07 05:21 PM
The 2007 Ford Ironman has come and gone, and according to most - Kona is the most prestigious race of the year, with its sometimes very hot weather, its sometimes rough seas, and the high winds of Waikoloa, it tends to take the best of the best to win at this race. In fact quite a few favorites were eliminated early in the race this year. Localism - how do you add a city and county ???? - 10/15/07 01:40 PM
KONA - consist of so many small towns, we would probably be better to list them all under Kona, If you travel anyplace outside of kona, and are asked where are you from - typicaly you would answer - Kona - not Kailua, Kainaliu, Kalaoa, Honalo.
Some of the bigger cities will be called by there name -Kailua,  Kealakekua, Keauhou, Captain Cook, Holualoa, but they are all still in Kona.
So any sugestions?

Short Sale ???? Hilo House for sale - Resale - 10/09/07 05:36 PM
Ok, why the question marks after short sale.
This house was 3 days away from auction block, when some investors came in, and negotiated a short sale.
They came in with experience on negotiating short sales.
They were able to get through to the right people and save this home from the auction block, with that said they have now given me authority to resell it while, at the same time,  they send it out to their resources. So if you know an investor that is willing to take a look at this property, let me know, its worth2% each side CSB.

The Condo market
Certainly taking a lot harder hit than housing market, but still not to bad. You figure we usually follow Oahu's trend, and looking at the newspaper reporting of Condo sales in Honolulu - Overall, O'ahu's median condo price is up 4.8 percent to $325,000. Ours is not as Rosy as that - but here are the numbers! These are just for the month of September.

You figure we usually follow Oahu's trend, and looking at the newspaper reporting of Condo sales in Honolulu - Overall, O'ahu's median condo price is up 4.8 percent to $325,000. 2007 Ford Ironman World Championship - Time to get out of Town !!! - 10/05/07 04:17 PM
Its that time of year again, people from all over the world, Swimming, Biking, Running around Kona ! Its been a great boost for the economy every year - especially after 9-11, there was just a handful of people that didn't make it that year, mostly because they were called to duty. So THANK YOU Ironman. Enough said about that, the reality of living here, and having to deal with - basically shutting down Kona on race day - Well its just easier to get out of town - EARLY that day!

Her we are in October already, another month under our belts! Well the Sept figures are in , and not bad at all, actually pretty good. Considering what the Newspapers try to portray??? Yesterday's front page newspaper - BIG ISLAND ECONOMY SLOWING - !!!
You know, if I were a tourist here on vacation - I would think it is a lot worse than it really is. I mean - SLOWING - what exactly does that mean? Does it mean we are only flying in 200 people a day instead of 300  from Oahu to help fill positions. Does it mean … (1 comments)

It hard to get a straight answer when you ask where Keauhou Starts, and Kailua Kona ends. But hey, this complex sits across the street from the big sign on Alii Drive that says - Keauhou - !
