Still bucking the Real Estate Industry trend - 2011 vs 2010 - All 3 areas of sales, are up at least 20% according to the Hawaii MLS statistics. More interesting than that were last years numbers - Home sales 2010 over 2009 were up 75% - Condo Sales for the same time frame - up 100%. (land sales were down) And don't forget, we had Tsunami that closed business's down for a few days ($30,000,000.00 in damages) , we had a 4.9 earthquake, and we had a Major Lava eruption - all part of the charm of living on a Volcanic … (0 comments)

Just found out about a great new IPhone App for Hawaii. This was put together for Kamehameha Schools and has hundreds of discounts and promotions for local business's. You know what it is really great about it - it uses your location to find deals near you - which by the way, when I went to their website - I could not find any outer island deals - Oahu only. so when you use your Iphone in Kona, It pulls up deals at Huggos, Huggos on the Rocks, Keauhou Beach Resort, Sheraton Bay Resort, Rockys Pizza, Royal Thai Cafe, this list goes on and on - … (0 comments)

Anybody that's been to Kailua Kona, knows which restaurant I am talking about. Probably the only Wendy's or let alone any fast food joint, with a million dollar view, in fact the view is so good, it is written up in many tour guides. It is actually in the Keauhou area of Kailua Kona, sitting high above everything, with endless views of the Ocean.

Kailua Kona, Hawaii - the best place on earth (according to me).
Condo sales have been on the increase now for awhile, in fact, September, October, November, December (all 2009) , and January 2010, have all outsold the previous years numbers - some of these months even outsold 2008. If you take a momment and look at my - single family home sales for North Kona - report, Homes have out sold previous year for 9 months running, and many of those out sold 1 or 2 previous years.
