In our industry there is so much competition, that we need to get business any way we can...with the rise of computers, online networking, and such sites like Myspace, facebook, Linkedin have become more popular than ever...and more essential.
I don't know about you, but marketing, is not my strong suit, what an irony though, that is exactly what we have to be good at, to get noticed...a marketing whiz....a networking whiz....

Phone Etiquette: Slooooooooow Down when leaving your phone number... - 01/28/09 02:40 PM
I listed a townhouse for sale...for $30,000...  Yes, I said it $30K...in these, here parts, that's un heard of!!   So, no surprise to me...My Phone was ringing off the HOOK....!!!!
(I know, I could have bigger problems.......)  What was amazing to me, was how many agents, when they left their phone number, they said it so fast.....I mean faster than an auctioner..... 
I had to play the message, get the first 2 digits, then play it again, to get the next 2.........Holy Canoli!     Multiply this times the 40 calls I got, and I was spending more time than any one person … (5 comments)

The term "Short Sale" has been integrated into our vocabulary, here in the last couple of years.  Most of us had no idea what that meant...but we learned quickly.
If you are a homeowner who needs to sell your house..but, like most of us, have negative equity (owe more than the hous will appraise for) then you may feel your options are limited....that is if you want to maintain your good credit.
There is another way to sell your house and maintain your good credit......and that it to take back a note, and short sale your house...

Okay so this is a baby rant of sorts...I list REO properties....in Virginia..I'm not what you call a "big player" but I do okay for lil ole' me... I pride myself on prompt customer service to my asset managers, and to the agents who so generously take the times to show my listings..!! 
So, if you are an asset manger reading this....I want you to understand, that SOME, and I say SOME.. (so those of you who this does not apply to...don't get your panties in a bunch)  REO listing agents take on way too many listings....have a fleet of assistants..and customer service … (1 comments)

Here Here.. I too am a Realist..and you are correct... this is not the market to trump up what you want people to believe....because you lose credibility.  In addition, it is important to work with an agent who understands the foreclosure/short sale process...it's a different animal than a the stereotypical transactions:  for instance the addendums the bank sends back, often times change the terms of the initial contract, having an agent who does not understand this can really get you into trouble.
