Market Summary Thru February 29, 2012
The number of homes sold in the Sumter South Carolina in the month of February increased from 49 in January to 57 in February. The February units sold fell in line with numbers of homes sold in Sumter County in February since 2009. It is now mid March and we are experiencing an increase in the market activity.

Market Summary Thru December 31, 2011
The number of homes sold in the month of December increased slightly to 67. December sales showed an increase over October and November and and increase year to year over December 2010 61 units sold. The increase in the sales in November and December brought the Year to Date 2011 Units Sold at 822 just short of the 2010 Year To Date Units Sold at 829.

September 2010 Sumter, SC Market Report Market Summary Thru October 31, 2010
October saw a decrease in the number of units sold to 51 down 23 units from September. Interest rates are truly at historical lows, but buyers seem to be staying out of the market due to the economy and I think some apprehension about the elections. The Year To Date Closings for 2010 continues to lag behind 2009 numbers and October contributed to that gap increasing.
