Last week, a kitchen fire forced a Myerstown, PA family of seven to escape their home. The fire apparently began in the kitchen, completely unexpected, just before six o'clock at night.
The family got out safely, along with their pets; however, the fire damage is extensive and until they are reimbursed from their homeowners insurance, the family is staying with relatives.
