Mom's Birthday - 11/11/10 02:24 PM
Today is Veteran's Day. As I thank as many Veterans as I know, I am also thinking about my personal lifelong hero -- MOM! Today is her birthday! Happy Birthday, Mom!
I'm grateful my parents chose Keller, Texas, as their home in the 1970s and that I am still here today to work my real estate brokerage, raise my family and stay in close contact with my mom and dad all this time in the same old town of Keller. Well, it's not the same. Anyway, today she celebrates her 63rd birthday and this post is in her honor.

A Smooth Sea Never Made for a Skillful Mariner --Anonymous - 11/08/10 05:00 PM
What is the ONE question we are asked ALL the time? How's the market? When someone asks me that right now, I want to say, "It's nuts." That's pretty much how I feel about the market today. But to elaborate, here are some things that make it difficult:
1. Lack of equity -- a lot of people have either lost value or gained no value and/or put nothing down and essentially have no way of making a move without either breaking even (with no money to move on) or without losing money all together. There are a LOT of negative equity … (0 comments)

Jump in a Pool of Icy Water for $1 - 11/07/10 08:58 AM
It's November and in Texas that means swim season is over. So how is it my Little Precious ended up in the middle of my frigid pool on a laughing alligator on a very cold fall evening? The same way consumers dive into pools with no water, metaphorically speaking, when they do real estate business without the guidance of a pro.
What prompted me to throw out the flares and give warning? A few things did.
First, someone called me this week who wanted to buy a house from his best friend. They had the deal "hand shaken" and only needed some … (1 comments)

I love my job - 11/04/10 10:11 PM
Trust me. There are days I don't love my job. But for the most part, I really really love it. What about being a real estate broker is so fun? There are a few things that come to mind first. Then there are all the little things that add up to make it the best job ever.
First, biggest, is how it changes constantly. I know. That's probably a surprise and a big fat, "huh?" But what I mean is this job is like a cloud forming and dissipating into thin air minute by minute. It is ever changing. And I actually LOVE that … (10 comments)

My birthday wish list - 11/01/10 09:06 AM
I was born on All Saints Day. I think that's appropriate. Ha! So my parents tried for 10 years to have a kiddo and after all that "trying" (what fun!) they decided to adopt. Then whoops! They had me. A family friend, older than my parents, also couldn't have kids. At my birth, they offered my parents a pretty penny for me. Now I am guessing my parents wished they'd taken that money and ran! So today I celebrate my 35th and hope mom and dad are ok with their decision!
This is my birthday wish list:
