In the last two weeks I hosted two different political parties. At first I was kind of doing it for general business exposure, but then i also decided I was doing them as a favor to the candidates. What I found out was I really enjoyed talking politics to people (even if we vote different) because i get to ask my questions and here the answers. Also it is a chance to dispute rumors that I have heard.
I found that I am in the minority though. I sent 150 cards to my neighbors and 50 emails to my friends. None of the neighbors came??? I even had food and drinks. Oh, well their loss.
By the Way, I have both democrats and republicans candidates.
Friday Oct 24th, the Oregon Association of Realtors will be hosting an event called - Business Across Borders. The panel will include the Canadian Honorary Consul - Jim Baumgartner, JD and Mexico Acting Consul- David Simon Figueras.
Come learn more about internaional business and how it can positivly impact you bottom line!
The event will be held at the Portland Metro Association of Realtors on 5331 SW Macadam Ave #207 from 11 to 1.

Some good news finally in real estate. Existing homes sales in Jackson County for June- Aug 2008 are at 91% of June-Aug 2007 time period and overall inventory for the same period is down 16%.
In Medford the number of sales for the June- Aug period was about the same for 2008 to 2007 and inventory was down about 26%. In Ashland the median sales price actually rose from $417,500 to $426,500, but valley wide the average median price was down from $268,800 to $255,000 for existing homes.
