It's too Hot to be Cute!!!
It's too hot to be cute but I'm still working and guess what I've noticed? Not too many other agents are out showing homes or holding Open Houses. Although I will confess it may not be the best idea to host an Open House in this type of heat if you have not tested the air conditioner system to make sure it will keep the home comfortable during the event. (It's not a strong selling point to invite clients into a sweltering home.)

Are you a people pleaser?
I am (often to my own dismay.) I have always disliked confrontation and often pretty up my words in order not to offend people. I have been described as "politically correct" and "a diplomat" for most of my life.
This is why I love being a Realtor! It has freed me from my inability to be blunt and truthful (I have discovered my financial well being may well depend upon my honesty.) No more mincing of words. Well it happened earlier this week. I received the Dear John Letter from one of my clients. We thank you for your help blah, blah, blah... but we have purchased another home. The clients decided their interests were best served by submitting the offer through the Listing Agent.
During our initial buyer consultation we discussed the various strategies we would utilize in pursuing their dreams of home-ownership. Mr. Listing Agent You Are Not Inspiring Confidence in Mrs. Buyer,  much less a warm and fuzzy feeling. I realize this is my responsibility but you are making my job extremely difficult!
To the contrary your actions are adding additional stress to an already hugely stressful event. Mr/Mrs. Buyer, whom I represent, have committed to purchase a short sale transaction which was not a decision made lightly. We researched, analyzed and discussed the possible ramifications but the buyers want this home and are willing to take the gamble.

Riverside's Woodcrest Donuts has the best Ham'n'Cheese croissants in Riverside. The prices are pretty reasonable for a taste of this wonderful treat. The flaky pastry surrounds the ham and cheese which when heated melts in your mouth. The croissant, which has a slightly sweet taste (reminds me of vanilla) contrasted with the slight saltiness of the ham and the warm buttery pastry, is delicious.

"Teen star bullied out of school" is a recent headline. As parents began the preparations for the first day of school the issue of bullying, and its consequences, has become a large concern. The headline references Rebecca Black, who gained fame on YouTube with her video Friday. Due to threats and harassment the decision was made for Rebecca to withdraw from her school.

In light of the budget restrictions facing the school districts parents maybe interested in attending the Riverside Unified School District Board of Education Meetings or by downloading the taped video at www.rusdvideo.org. As Tom Torlakson, Superintendent of Public Instruction, stated we are in the midst of a "financial emergency for California Public Schools." In view of the $44 million cut from the General Fund by RUSD circumstances are critical.
The meetings occur on the first and third Monday of every month.

The need for a home lives within the heart of us all. The desire to create your own home, traditions, and memories is universal.
Several months ago while holding an Open House I had the pleasure of meeting a wonderful family.
