It is back to my maiden name for me, but I still list and sell real estate in the Ashland, Medford, like I did before. It is the same old me...and in some ways....the really "old" me. I haven't gone by this name since 1983. I was debating what to do about my name, then a few days ago, it just felt right to go back to ME. Now, I have to remember all the place I need to change my name........

Seeking to understand packs a mightier punch than seeking to be understood!! I just took this quote off my friend Melinda Peterson's blog. This is so true in life. We so often want to be heard that we forget to listen. Reminds me of the old story about how the most interesting person is the person who asks questions and listens for the answers. I am so happy to finally make it over this hump. A few hundred more and I am 2nd in line for my county and I will be a featured agent. If I only could add on blog points as fast as calories.... although if I eat enough I will look like a blog, or is that blob? … (10 comments)

According to a recent issue "Parade".. Gerri Willis wrote that is you want to sell your home. You should "find the best broker. A year ago, you could have asked agents to cut their commissions because houses sold themselves. Now your better off paying the full 6% to ensure you'll get the best service." As a Realtor, I find this advice refreshing and I am glad consumers can read about the benefits of paying for good service. I guess it goes back to that old saying "You get what You pay for."
