Foreclosures doubled this year!...read a little fact you won't find in the media. - 06/15/08 10:04 PM
While reading The Showcase USA Austin Edition, I came across this article that really puts the increase in foreclosure rates in perspective.  While headlines constantly state foreclosures are up, they never include one simple little detail.  The foreclosure rate has gone from 1% of all homeowners with mortgages to 2% and these foreclosures are principally driven by subprime loans.  Please see the article below for more information.

I would like to learn more about investing in real estate.  Do you know of any great investment groups in Austin?....and I'm not talking about the people who just want to sell you their books and tapes.  I would like to learn from other real estate agents who have been investing for a while, know what to look for, can share stories about common pitfalls, etc.  Thank you for your help!
