Ring in the new year in celeb style!
Join Z 99.5 FM personalities Smiley, KJ, Weedman, B-Moore, Dave Decker, Scott Sands and Carlos Diaz from Extra will usher in 2009 with a New Year's Extravaganza starting at 8 PM on New Year's Eve (December 31, 2008) at Valle Vista Country Club. Tickets are $19.99 (advance sale) or $39.99 (at the door). New Year's Eve - family friendly fun - 12/26/08 09:19 PM
If my children were to be around for New Year's Eve, we would probably check out the festivities at the Indiana State Museum.
This party will be held in the Governor Frank O'Bannonn Great Hall from 6 until 8. Local band - The Tides - will perform as well as "Peewinkle's Christmas Puppet Show". There will also be games, crafts, magicians and clowns and will conclude with a balloon drop at 8 PM.

Holiday Dangers to Pets - 12/23/08 12:26 PM
Becuase Christmas is a mere day away, I thought that I would give a few tips to those who have a fur-baby in the house to help them have a Merry Christmas or happy holiday as well.
Holiday costumes may be adorable one your dog, but if it has a rubber band to hold it on, remember that rubber bands can embedded themselves into the skin if left on too long. Plus, your dog or cat could eat it and cause intestinal issues.
Confetti and noise makers are fun for humans, but not for pets. Noisemakers can hurt their delicate sense … (4 comments)

I just wanted to wish any and all a very merry and blessed Christmas.
For those traveling, I hope that you have safe travels to where you are going. Our traveling beings tomorrow (Christmas Eve) and won't end until we get home on Christmas night. Luckily, we don't have to go very far!

As a parent of FCCC and FCJS, I would like to personally invite you to a Christmas concert performed by the Franklin College Childrens Choir and Franklin College Junior Singers tonight, Friday, December 12, 2008 at 6:00 PM. The concert will be held in the Richardson Chapel on campus. There is no admission for this concert and I hope that you will join us for a fun, music-filled evening.

With the holiday season at the midway point, I thought I would give a gentle reminder that donations are always accepted at two of my favorite charitable organizations: the Interchurch Food Pantry and The Lord's Locker.
