advice: Some Life Lessons - 06/18/12 11:24 PM
A friend forwarded me some Life Lessons and I thought I would share them.

1.  Focus on one task at a time.  Research shows that our brains actually can't multitask, and that when we think we are, what's really happening is that our attention keeps switching from one thing to the other and we end up doing both tasks poorly.  Simply put, prioritize tasks and don't tackle another until you finish with the first one.

2.  Choose a few things to automate.  For example, if you like good food for breakfast, and don't need much variety, stick to the … (14 comments)

advice: Easy Clean Up Tips and Freezer Ideas - 01/30/12 01:11 AM
Here are some easy clean up tips:

1.  To prevent a mess, coat your measuring cup with cooking spray when measuring sticky ingredients like molasses or honey.

2.  Put baby powder on an oil stain and let it sit.  The powder will absorb the grease.

3.  Clean your cast iron skillet with a paste of coarse salt and water.

And, here are some freezer ideas:

advice: Short Sale Questions/Advice - 05/01/09 02:09 AM
Hello everyone!  I am looking for some advice.  I have a client who is considering a short sale of her home.  She recently went through a divorce, is losing one of her jobs, etc.  She has OK credit, has never been late on payments, and is in the process of negotiating a loan modification with her bank.  However, she wants to sell her home and move into a condo.
I put her in touch with a lender friend of mine, since she had a lot of questions about the procedure, what she would need, if she would be able to qualify … (22 comments)

advice: I AM SURE YOU CAN RELATE!!!! - 11/19/08 01:52 AM
This past weekend I was at a couple of parties, being introduced to a lot of new faces.   As soon as they asked me what I did, and I responded "In real estate", their reactions were all th same.  "Oh....."  "I'm so sorry", "When was the last time you actually sold something in this market", etc etc etc.

advice: $7500 Fed Credit - 10/03/08 02:40 AM
How are agents marketing this program to potential buyers?  Does the amount that a buyer gets under the program depend on the buyers credit/income/financial history, or a combination of all?  I am working to get many of my "on the fence buyers" off the fence with anything possible!

advice: Have any bright ideas?? - 10/03/08 02:38 AM
I am sure I am not alone out there!  I have a listing that has had only 1 showing in over 2 months!  We have done price reduction after price reduction, and still nothing.  Does anyone have any ideas to stimulate activity and get this thing sold???  I have mentioned selling broker bonues and buyer credits to the sellers.  Anything else???
