In 2012, the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center (APCC) in Urbana, Illinois, handled more than 180,000 cases about pets possibly exposed to poisonous substances—and some breeds seemed to make up a lot more of those calls than others.
Nearly 14,000 of APCC’s 2012 calls were from worried pet parents of Labradors. Domestic shorthair cats were involved in approximately 10,000 cases (the second-most popular breed involved in APCC calls). Mixed-breed dogs (8,000 cases), Chihuahuas (4,833 cases), Golden Retrievers (4,819 cases) and Yorkshire Terriers (3,800 cases) rounded out the top six.

Duct tape was originally made for U.S. Army use with a green cotton DUCK backing. When soldiers brought it home and used it to make repairs such as connecting heating ducts, it was manufactured in silver and called DUCT tape.
The Apollo 13 Astronauts used duct tape to fit the square carbon monoxide filters from their broken command module into the round receptacles in the lunar module so there would be enough oxygen to get home. It worked!
During Hurricane Irene, some used duct tape to hold outdoor furniture in place.

My mom emailed this to me....interesting points....I hadn't thought of alot of these. NOT ALL THIEVES ARE STUPID!! I have to remember this. A friend of a friend left their car in the long-term parking at San Jose while away, and someone broke into the car. Using the information on the car's registration in the glove compartment, they drove the car to the people's home in Pebble Beach and robbed it. So I guess if we are going to leave the car in long-term parking, we should not leave the registration/insurance cards in it, nor your remote garage door … (10 comments)

Today I got a late start. I had to snow blow myself and my neighbors out. By the time I got back inside, started up my laptop, poured myself some coffee, it was 10am!
