Looking for a good mexican restaurant in San Antonio, Texas? Look no further than El Chaparral restaurant. Serving breakfast (Sat & Sun only) lunch & dinner, El Chaparral has a great atmosphere & is very reasonably priced. El Chaparral is definitely a family oriented place with seating inside or out & serving up the best mexican food around.
We arrived about 7PM and the place was packed, we waited a short 15 minutes at the bar prior to being seated.

San Antonio got a very special H-E-B added today at 8503 N.W. Military Highway. Called the H-E-B Alon (which means oak in Hebrew) it opened it's doors this morning at 6 a.m.. Said to be San Antonio's with everything from the basics to the biggest kosher selections in town. At 128,000 squre feet "food emporium" which is said to have the biggest selection of kosher foods in town. I read an interesting article in San Antonio's (only) paper the San Antonio Express News by Carlos Guerra. Unlike the name of the article the meat & potatoes of the writing focused on money for convention centers in San Antonio that was money misspent in his opinion. Well, probably alot of SA's residents opinion, BUT, so not my point.

My sister Sheila and I had lunch today at Piatti's Ristorante & Bar in the quarry off 281 on Basse Road. Right around the corner from shopping galore you can stop in for a bite to eat.
