What I learned in Real Estate this week.............
I seem to bring this up every once and awhile. It's like a reminder of what I did that week, how things turned out, what made me laugh & even sometimes, what made me cry!
I felt it was that time again, so, here we go!

What I learned in Real Estate this week...........The week after vacation edition!
Las week i was in Puerto Vallarta with my sweetie, loving life, sipping margaritas, enjoying the view & feeling footloose & fancy free. Here's proof:
I got back to work this week, full speed ahead (is there any other speed in RE?) & this is what I learned this week:
ALWAYS have a back-up, you know someone to do your work for you while you are basking in the mexico sun. If you are gonna go on vacation, make sure it is far, far away, you know, somewhere … (9 comments)

I had the unfortunate experience today of getting yelled at by a buyer who chose their own lender. I'm not proud of it, i'm by no means happy BUT, I can honestly say, I didn't do anything wrong...
I'm not saying you have to use the lender I refer to you by any means, but PLEASE do not yell at me when your lender fails you. I will honestly say to you "I'm sorry!" Do you expect more? Why?

There are lenders out there that don't work on commission & don't have a sense of urgency when it comes to processing your loan. During the first round of the government's homebuyer tax-credit program only new homebuyer's could walk away with $8,000. Now many current homeowners can put cash in their pockets as well.
I've been taking a poll, it's been very unofficial. Basically, after I talked to about 7 folks who didn't know what I was talking about when I mentioned the "Move up" or "Repeat home buyer" "Long time homeowner" tax credit and WEREN'T in Real Estate I realized it was my duty to help try & spread the word.

The agents at RE/MAX Access spent a great deal of time on Friday planning for 2010. Exhausting, yes, necessary? You betcha!
We covered everything possible, what are our goals, what do we want to earn & most importantly, HOW we are going to make that happen!?
One of the most important things I think was realizing when you have a plan & you write down those goals, the chances of them actually happening are multiplied by a million percent.

In 2004, Army Sergeant Jorge De Leon lost his leg and suffered loss of hearing and Traumatic Brain Injury in Afghanistan. While maneuvering his Humvee to avoid an insurgent attack, he drove over an anti-tank mine. Wheelchair-bound and despairing of how he would take care of his family after being discharged,

We've been working hard all summer long. Long days, lot's of contracts & some months without a day off! Texas had an unreasonably hot June, July & August but clients were jumping off the fence left & right so we helped them!
None of that has changed BUT, our office did take a day off without computers, clients or phones. Well, most of us did BUT one thing we all did was have a spectacular time!

We've been moaning & groaning about it for months. Grass, plants & our spirits were dead. Fireworks were cancelled on the 4th of July & the "burn ban" has been in effect I can't even remember how long.
We've tried doing the "rain dance" as well as the "go away drought disco", heck we even got desperate & started doing the "flooding fandango" ALL, without any luck.
Sometime last week all our hopes were answered, it started to RAIN! Little baby drops then great big drops then for days non-stop & everything … (15 comments)
