If you are new to the area you might not have experienced Wurstfest yet?  It should be on your "must" list if near New Braunfels.  Heck, even if you aren't, make the drive! It's worth it!
Wurstfest start's TOMORROW, November 4 (alway's the Friday before the first Monday in November) & last's until November 13th.  So, there's PLENTY of time to get down to New Braunfels & get your beer & grub on.

texas: How many homes have sold in San Antonio, Texas? (October 2011 vs. October 2010) - 11/01/11 06:57 AM
How many homes have sold in San Antonio, Texas? (October 2011 vs. October 2010)
The San Antonio, Texas market has changed. I find it informative to look at it & compare it in many different way's every so often.
A very interesting statistic from year to year is the number of homes that have sold for any given month.  The comparison I am using with the graph below is for single family homes only.
The dates I am using are October 2011 vs. October 2010.

Big difference.  452 homes to be exact.  October isn't historically what we would call … (0 comments)

texas: Oh the things you will find in San Antonio, Texas! - 09/17/10 06:23 AM
Oh the things you will find in San Antonio, Texas....
It hadn't happened yet......I was shocked to hear about it (& grossed out!) BUT, I finally had -
My first encounter with a critter in one of my listings:

That my friends is a ring-tailed CAT!  He really wasn't more than two pounds but he looked scary, barked like a dog & left a lot of "presents" in the attic of the home.  Surprisingly enough, the buyers wanted him extracted from their new home, so we obliged.
He is now roaming around in the wild.  Hopefully he found his friends … (10 comments)

texas: Name this baby boy! - 05/26/10 07:08 AM
I am in serious need of a name for the baby that is growing in my belly.
Barb Szabo inspired me to put it out to the bloggers on AR so, We don't want anything too common or popular but tell us what you think we should name the baby!  Oh, and we are leaning towards a name that starts with a T!
If you need to see him to get a good feel for a name, take a look:

I seriously hope this doesn't have any serious repercussions that come with it later - with the little man.

texas: And the rain keeps coming down in San Antonio, Texas! - 09/12/09 11:10 AM
And the rain keeps coming down in San Antonio, Texas!
We've been moaning & groaning about it for months.  Grass, plants & our spirits were dead.  Fireworks were cancelled on the 4th of July & the "burn ban" has been in effect I can't even remember how long.
We've tried doing the "rain dance" as well as the "go away drought disco", heck we even got desperate & started doing the "flooding fandango" ALL, without any luck.
Sometime last week all our hopes were answered, it started to RAIN!  Little baby drops then great big drops then for days non-stop & everything … (15 comments)

Copa Wine Bar....A flight of this....A flight of that....~ San Antonio, TexasMy new favorite place in San Antonio is the Copa Wine Bar & Restaurant located at 19141 Stone Oak Pky San Antonio,TX 78258.  Whether you are looking for a glass of wine or a bottle this is the perfect spot to hang out & relax with your favorite domestic, european or sparkling wine.
We stopped in recently to try something different & that is just what we found.  The place is decorated with wine bottles everywhere, the tables are made out of wine boxes & the staff really knows their wine!

texas: Hand Carved Candles & More ~ Fredericksburg, Texas - 03/07/09 02:56 PM
Fredericksburg is a very popular place for Texans to visit.  About an hour from San Antonio, Fredericksburg provides shopping, dining and entertainment like no other.  Fredericksburg is in the heart of the hill country and blends a mixture of German heritage with Texas!  What a combination.
We recently visited the quaint city of a tad over 11,000 people to do a little shopping.  What we found was so much more!  Stopping into Hand Carved Candles & More we were amazed to watch the owner making the candles right before her customers eyes.
Beautifully hand made, colorful candles made for any occasion are … (16 comments)

texas: Everyday is Earth day in San Antonio, Texas - 02/17/09 07:37 AM

Want to attempt to inflict the least amount of harm on the environment everyday vs. just on Earth Day?  We started seeing it quite awhile back in San Antonio's super markets and admitted re-usable bags are the way to go.  We decided to jump on the eco-friendly band wagon with our own bags:This bag is made of non-woven polypropylene, it's tough, water resistant, reliable and recylclable!
If you are in the San Antonio area, we would love to send one your way.  Send us your address & help us spread the word about being environmentally friendly one trip at a time by … (16 comments)
