Wonderful news came out of my searching this morning for the homes sold in Macomb County MI during the month of September, 2008.  More homes sold this past month in comparison to the previous time period (September 2007)The total of homes  sold in Macomb County were up a whopping 49%.   Sales prices are still falling from this period a year ago, but I have a feeling that part of this is due to the amount of homeowners who chose to lease or rent their homes.The average days on the market also showed a decrease, but this is good news.  For the … (3 comments)

Over the next few days I will be posting several real estate market reports, the first of whichis this comparison between sales taking place in December of 2006 and December of 2007.
The following graph represents single family homes selling in Macomb County during thistime frame.  One of the areas that I was excited about is the "homes sold".  There is onlya difference of 2 homes - yes, that's right, 2.  December of 2007 was a strong month forhome sales in Macomb County.Another area that showed some outstanding signs of improvement was the average totaldays on the market.  Those totals plummeted for … (6 comments)

Macomb Countys Chesterfield Township continues to bea strong fixture in the real estate market.
Despite all the negative media and the foreclosure rates in Macomb County, Chesterfield Township homes are selling and at a volume that is a bit higher than last year.
Last year during October twenty-four homes sold in the townshipand the average total days on the market was a whopping 229 days.
As you can see from the chart below, more homes have sold in Chesterfield Township during the same period this year and the days on the market is considerably lower. More homes sold + less days to … (2 comments)
