The COBA tour of homes begins Friday and runs all weekend. This year there are 37 homes featured through out Bend, Redmond, Powell Butte and Sisters on the Tour of Homes this year. A 2010 COBA Tour of Homes Event Guide is available online if you want to scout out your route. The event guide is also available at the COBA office.

You Go Girl! According to a survey by the National Association of Realtors (NAR), single women are buying homes in masses. In 2009, first-time home buyers made up 47% of the total home buying market share, up from 41% in 2008. Of these first-time home buyers, single women purchased homes at double the rate of single men, outpaced only by married couples.
2009 First-Time Home Buyer Demographics Married Couples = 49% Single Women = 25% Single Men = 12% Unmarried Couples = 12% Single women also lead the charge over single men for repeat home buyers in 2009.
