365 Things to do in Bend Oregon - 2010 Central Oregon Builders Association (COBA) tour of homes.
The COBA tour of homes begins Friday and runs all weekend. This year there are 37 homes featured through out Bend, Redmond, Powell Butte and Sisters on the Tour of Homes this year. A 2010 COBA Tour of Homes Event Guide is available online if you want to scout out your route. The event guide is also available at the COBA office.

Prior to the suspension of the FHA 90-day flipping rule, home buyers we unable to purchase homes with FHA loans when the seller owned the home for less than 90-days.
How does this affect me, the buyer?

Central Oregon Awarded $3.89M for Affordable Housing. The real estate market has declined and rent rates are lower across Central Oregon, but the need for affordable housing is still in high demand.
According to an article in todays Bend Bulletin, the state housing agency has awarded approximately $3.89 million in grants, tax credits and loans to contractors in an effort to repair and add additional affordable hosing in the area. These funds will help maintain section 8 housing through out Central Oregon including Quimby Apartments in Bend, the High Desert Commons Project in Redmond and Grasshopper Village in Prineville.
