Terry and I love going through different homes and finding the best way that a home is to be shot. My wife is a paralegal and I am a 28 year Navy veteran. Together we make a great team. She gives me the legal aspect of the business and I have the attention to detail and business sense to see what works best.
The local real estate community has a large amount of folks that don't use the internet much and are sometimes stuck on the old traditional ways of advertising. Sometimes I think some of them want to resist the computer age. That said, I recently have been going around and doing presentations to Realtors at their normally scheduled training and I am very happy to report that the business minded office managers and brokers are getting the hint. While they have to appeal to older folks that still read the newspaper, they are telling me that the internet is the key if they want to stay in competition. The Hampton-Roads area has been booming in the housing arena for a long time. Even when the housing market slips, it always has a constant rotation of military folks coming into and leavening the area. While this makes the area keep going in a weak market, the Internet advertising and virtual tours are keys to their success. Military folks can't afford to spend a lot of time and money on house shopping. They are given limited time to transfer and back on the job they must go.
This last year shooting virtual tours has been the most enjoyable thing I've done in years. I look forward to many years of digital photography and pushing Dream house Photography to the limits. Thank you to all our first year clients and we hope to help show you the money in the coming years.
