We had our first "winter storm" this weekend, meaning we had some clouds, sprinkles, and the day time temp dropped to 70 degrees. Of course, the sun doesn't stay away long here in the desert. I was driving home from the market and pulled over to capture this shot... the light and the sky were so clear.
Even though Thanksgiving is on its way and many of you in other parts of the country are having your first cold snaps... it was 91* in La Quinta yesterday. To top it off we were treated to this amazing sunset! (8 comments)
Our course at La Quinta Country Club is closed for a few more weeks while they are over-seeding for our winter season. The rye grass is coming in now in it's brightest green, the water lilies are blooming, and I can't help photographing the beauty. While the course is closed we are able to walk the cart paths in the morning and enjoy the views! SEARCH FOR HOMES AT LA QUINTA COUNTRY CLUB (8 comments)
During a home tour yesterday at PGA West in La Quinta, I captured this photo of the blooming desert yucca against the Greg Norman Golf Course and the Santa Rosa Mountains. Our weather is gorgeous now with cool mornings and sunny, warm afternoons! Come see us in La Quinta! SEARCH FOR HOMES IN LA QUINTA (7 comments)
Last night I captured the sliver of the new moon rising in the western desert sky. This palm has provided hundreds of photo opps behind our house... and I never tire of taking her picture! Hope your summer is bringing you a good mix of sunshine, fun & business! Best, Kathy (8 comments)
I captured this photo of a palm behind our La Quinta home a while back. We are so lucky to live in an area filled with such beauty. I am amazed every day, by the nearby Santa Rosa Mountains, by the majestic palms, and the ever-changing desert sky! SEARCH FOR HOMES IN LA QUINTA
I couldn't help snapping this shot of this unusual cactus with all the little surrounding cacti in bloom! Many people don't realize the beauty of the desert and it's native plants. These cactus can thrive in anyone's home who has a sunny window. They don't mind being neglected... and really only need water once every 3 weeks. It is rare to have all of your plants bloom at the same time, but it makes for beautiful display!
