Oktoberfest Palm Springs is a unique European-style festival showcasing more than 40 food, wine and beer tasting booths on October 13 from Noon-6:00p.m..
Nothing says "FALL" more than Oktoberfest! Pretty girls, cold beer, delicous brats and sausages, pretzels, and schnitzel!
Live entertainment on 2 stages will include polka bands, jazz and modern music to fit everyone's taste. It wouldn't be Oktoberfest without Belgian and German Beers like Beck's, St. Pauli's Girl, Stella Artois, Leffe, Hoegaarden and many, many more. palm springs area events: Bob Hope Classic now Humana Challenge? - 07/02/11 03:24 PM

The new title sponsor for the Bob Hope Classic... Humana the health-care conglomerate is making some big changes in the format and even the name of the 52 year old event.  Although,  Bob Hope's image will still be used in promoting the event, the tournament will be called the Humana Challenge.   Changes in the format of play along with an increased purse are just a few things that will be different at the La Quinta January event. 
The name change has the endorsement of the Hope family, but for me... it just isn't right.  What about the "Hope Girls"... will … (3 comments)

Tree-Lighting on El Paseo!
 Driving home from dinner in Rancho Mirage the other night... I spotted the beautiful, shining Christmas tree on El Paseo!   The Annual Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony at The Shops on El Paseo took place on Wednesday, November 24 from 5-8pm celebrating The Living Desert and giving a sneak preview of “Wildlights” – the Coachella Valley’s favorite holiday festival. The 60-foot tree that stands on top of The Shops on El Paseo towers more than 100 feet above the street and can be seen from all around the Valley.
