It seems that the main source of water in Colorado, the Colorado River, is shared by Colorado, New Mexico, Wyoming, Utah, Arizona, Nevada, and yes, even California.  The author of the book, Dead Pool, written by James Powell, states this, "When inevitable change in climate arrives to perturb the balance, the society has no margin for safety.  Usually it responds by impounding more water, planting more crops, and building more canals.  But if the problem is too little water for too long, none of these remedies work.  A society must respond to a prolonged drought by reducing consumption until demand matches supply, … (1 comments)
