Designated Agency... Is it right for the consumer? - 12/29/08 10:30 AM
Our state added the option of desigantated agency a few years ago.  Let's face it, it really is a way to offer dual agency with less hassles.  Either way the broker is in a dual agency situation.  As a broker I have kept our office as a traditional office.  I struggle with designated agency. Yes, its allowed by law, but is it right for the consumer.

Are you another home seller who's house went on the market and  your listing expired? Don't feel alone. Today market statistics show that in Middlesex County, Massachusetts, There are approxitaly 6100 homes listed for sale in the Massachusetts MLS. In the past month approx. 1100 homes sold with about 950 homes expiring.

My Favorite Adobe Elements Feature - 12/24/08 09:53 AM
My favorite Adobe Elements(all photoshops have this feature) feature is the transform feature.  It straightens your vertical or horizontal lines so they are parallel with the frame of the photo.  The wider the angle the lens the more chance you have for perspective distortion.  I shoot most interior photos at 10mm to 14mm and no matter what you get those vertical lines out of wack.  I run all my photos through Adobe before posting.

I run a few blogs... My questions is when I have a post that is appropriate for several blogs should I copy and paste to all the blogs or make reference to the blog and link back to the original post.  I am not sure of the pro's and con's of handling that from an seo standpoint.  I know duplicate content is harmful from an seo standpoint...
I would love to hear peoples take on that.

Sick of internet explorer... Try Firefox it is an amazing web browser.  It is faster, more secure and more customizable than Internet Explorer.  You can download Firefox and try it out and still keep explorer as you explore firefox.  If you have never used tabbed browsing Firefox makes it easier.

I had quite the morning. Finally got power back after 5 days without water or electricity. 2 hours to drive 23 miles(little bit of a storm), beeped at and had the finger thrown at me as I allowed some people to sneak ahead of me.  Waited at the bank as some guy reamed two tellers, 20 minutes to mail my New Hampshire Real Estate License renewal.  Overall a good day.

Tewksbury Condo on YouTube - 12/16/08 12:45 PM
Playing around with YouTube and video for a listing.  I used my still photos and vitual tour photos with Windows Photo Story 3 to make a quick inexpensive video.  All you need to buy is a microphone.  Wondering home much traffic I will receive and what the search engine benefits might be.   I would love to hear any video success stories from ohter agents.

I was reading the Realtor Magazine today, paying particuliar attention to the market pulse.  Following is the post online Realtor Magazine Market Pulse.  Realtor Magazine took a positive approach, as it usually does.  I am wondering what my fellow agents are seeing out there and what predictions you have for the upcoming year.
Things in my area, Metro Boston North, looked like it was doing well and on an uptick until about a month ago.  With the last major bail out news, showing all but halted then we hit the holidays.  Activity is slow.
