Helping Hand for the Tewksbury MA Food Pantry - 05/29/09 08:32 AM
Members of Free Christian Church in Andover Massachusetts who live or work in the town of Tewksbury Massachusetts will be in front of the Market Basket at Oakhurst Plaza between 5-8pm tonight and 9am to 12 pm tomorrow. They will be handing out a list of items that has been requested by the Tewksbury Food Pantry to anyone who would like to give a helping hand.
The Tewksbury Food Pantry is currently helping about 150 local families a month that need a little help in this turbulent economic environment. If you can and want to help please stop by and participate.

Buyer's (and sellers) beware..... do you know who your agent is working for?
Let's face look at homes is fun!! Understanding some of the legal part of it is not.  I see so much confusion among buyers who think their real estate agent is working for them when they really are working for the seller or even no one. 
In Massachusetts it is state law that an agent reveals to a prospective client their agency relationship(how an agent is working with a client) to that prospective customer/client.
Let me ask you a silly but important question.

Practioners Says Homes have Hit Bottom - 05/21/09 10:38 AM
I know in my area I am seeing inventory dry up houses selling quicker and on lower end properties some compeitive bidding.  We have seen a huge drop in multi family prices with investors starting to gobble them up. I think we are going to see the market flatten out in the next 6 months.   Only time will tell.

I originally had bought a Nikon D50 a couple of years ago and it came with a 18-50mm lens.

I  just wasn't happy with the 18mm for my widest setting. I felt at times I was not getting the feel of the room for my home sellers. In smaller rooms, I felt like I was photographing furniture.
To enhance my real estate photography for my home sellers, I decided to get a wider angle lens. I found very quickly they could get quite expensive. I ended up with the Sigma 10-22mm. I found it to bea good balance between … (19 comments)

I was out and about this weekend showing some townhouses to a client.  Two of the properties were FSBO's listed in our MLS.  One woman who showed her own home violated about 4 fair housing laws while the second violated 3.  A word of caution to the For Sale By Owner seller, be aware of fair housing laws.  Ignorance does not absolve you from obeying the law.
The Fair Housing Act prohibits discrimination in housing because of:

I have been reminded over the past few weeks that buyers and sellers need to understand fair market value and how it impacts a succesfull sale  or purchase of their home.
Fair Market Value is the price agreed upon and in which the money and property exchange hands between a home buyer and home seller. Fair Market Value is a price in which the general buying public would be willing to pay.
