With interest rates being so low, and housing becoming more affordable it may be time to look at the decision to buy vs renting. I have been out showing rental properties and noticed rents are up. So I decided to take a look and see if maybe its cheaper to own.
rent vs buy- a case study To really compare apples to apples. I found a condominium complex that had identical units, one for sale and one for rent, at Carter Green in Tewksbury Massachusetts. The rental is $1500 a month while the other is on the market for $182,900.
